The Secret

 


... And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.
Colossians‬ ‭1:27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This is a beautiful and powerful verse that speaks to the core of the Christian faith. It tells us that Christ lives in us, and that this gives us the assurance of sharing in His glory.

What does it mean to say that Christ lives in us? It means that when we put our faith in Him, we are united with Him in a spiritual bond that can never be broken. He makes His home in our hearts, and we become one with Him.

This union with Christ is the foundation of our hope and assurance. It is what gives us the confidence to face the challenges of life and to know that we are ultimately victorious.

When we know that Christ lives in us, we can be certain of three things:

First, we are forgiven of our sins. Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and when we put our faith in Him, we are forgiven.

Second, we are righteous in the sight of God. Christ's righteousness is imputed to us, which means that we are seen by God as perfect and holy, even though we are not perfect in ourselves.

Third, we are heirs to eternal life. Because we are united with Christ, we share in His victory over death. We can be confident that when we die, we will go to be with Him in heaven.

The assurance of sharing in Christ's glory is a precious gift. It gives us hope and strength in the midst of trials and tribulations. It motivates us to live holy lives and to share the good news of Christ with others.

Here are some practical ways to experience the assurance of sharing in Christ's glory:

• Spend time in prayer and Bible study, getting to know Christ better.

• Worship Him with all your heart, mind, and soul.

• Obey His commands and live a holy life.

• Serve Him in your community and around the world.

• Share the good news of Christ with others.

As you do these things, you will grow in your relationship with Christ and experience the assurance of sharing in His glory.
