Salvation by Grace

We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.”
Acts 15:11 NLT

In Acts 15:11, we find the apostle Paul declaring that salvation is by the "undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus." This statement is a powerful reminder that we are saved by God's grace, not by our own works or merits.

The word "grace" means "unmerited favor." In other words, grace is something that we do not deserve. We cannot earn salvation by our own good works or by following the law. Salvation is a gift from God, and it is received by faith in Jesus Christ.

The Bible teaches that all people are sinners, and that we deserve to be punished for our sins. But God, in his love, sent his Son Jesus to die on the cross in our place. Jesus' death paid the penalty for our sins, and his resurrection from the dead guarantees our eternal life.

When we put our faith in Jesus Christ, we are saved by his grace. We are not saved by our own works or merits, but by the undeserved favor of God. This is a message of great hope, because it means that salvation is available to everyone, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or social status.

The statement in Acts 15:11 also reminds us that salvation is for all people, both Jews and Gentiles. In the early church, there was a debate about whether or not Gentiles needed to be circumcised in order to be saved. But Paul argued that salvation is by grace through faith, and that this applies to both Jews and Gentiles.

The message of Acts 15:11 is a powerful reminder that salvation is by the grace of God, and that it is available to all people. This is a message of great hope, and it is a message that we should share with others.

Here are some additional Bible verses that speak to the truth that we are saved by God's grace:

• Ephesians 2:8-9: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

• Romans 3:23-24: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

• Titus 3:5-7: "He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

If you are not yet saved, I encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ. He is the only way to salvation, and he offers you the gift of eternal life.

I summary:

• Salvation is by the "undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus."

• Grace is something that we do not deserve.

• We cannot earn salvation by our own good works or by following the law.

• Salvation is a gift from God, and it is received by faith in Jesus Christ.

• Salvation is available to everyone, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or social status.
