Make Your Face shine down upon us

Turn us again to yourself, O God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
Psalms 80:7 NLT

In the book of Psalms, we find a prayer from the Israelites that asks God to turn them back to himself. They are in a state of despair and need God's help to save them. The psalmist writes, "Turn us again to yourself, O God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved" (Psalms 80:7 NLT).

This verse is a reminder that we need God's help to be saved. We cannot save ourselves. We are all sinners and deserve God's judgment. But God loves us and sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. If we repent of our sins and trust in Jesus Christ, we will be saved.

When we turn to God, he turns to us. He makes his face shine down on us and gives us his grace and mercy. We experience his love and forgiveness. We are saved from our sins and have the hope of eternal life.

This verse is also a reminder that we need to stay close to God. We need to keep turning to him in prayer and asking for his help. We need to read his Word and obey his commands. When we do these things, we will experience his love and blessings in our lives.

If you are feeling lost or hopeless, I encourage you to turn to God. He is the only one who can save you. He is the only one who can give you hope. He is the only one who can make your life complete.

So turn to God today. Ask him to turn to you. Make him your refuge and strength. He will never fail you. He will never forsake you. He will always love you.

Here are some practical steps you can take to turn to God:

• Pray and ask God to forgive you of your sins.

• Read the Bible and learn about God's love for you.

• Obey God's commands.

• Spend time with other Christians who can encourage you in your faith.
